New York’s Suffolk County Has Amended Toxic Free Toys Act - Effective November 6, 2017

Suffolk County's Toxic Free Toys Act (Local Law No. 22-2015) has been filed as Local Law No. 26 of 2017 in the Office of the Secretary of New York State.

The law is effective as of November 6, 2017.

The law regulates certain chemicals in children’s products that are sold in Suffolk County, New York. The chemical restrictions set forth by this law are preempted by federal law for children’s products.

The following are the Chemical restrictions for Children’s Products not covered by federal legislation:
