Per Amazon’s recent announcement pertaining to merchandise received at their non-sort Fulfillment Centers, they have started offering a per-item $1.00 rebate for each unit received in certified packaging prior to their new packaging rule implementation date of August 1, 2019. At that time, they will require larger or heavier goods to be tested in a third party lab and certified as passing Amazon ISTA 6 testing. They will need to be certified as either having Frustration Free Packaging or they need to Ship In Their Own Container (SIOC).
As an official participant in the Amazon Packaging Support and Supplier Network (APASS), Bureau Veritas provides APASS services directly to vendors, sellers or manufacturers related to package testing in compliance with Amazon’s certification test methods. The APASS program was designed by Amazon to help support vendors, sellers and manufacturers to obtain certification of their products as Frustration Free Packaging (FFP), Ships-in-Own-Container (SIOC) or Prep-Free Packaging (PFP).
